Rev.
Kyle Walker believes working with students is "where
it's at" in ministry. "Students are in the most
creative, searching and defining time of their lives.
They are hopeful and visionary. Who wouldn't want to
work with the most awesome group of people in the
world?" Kyle became Director of United Campus
Ministry in Aggieland in June of 1999. He is a Minister
of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church
(U.S.A.) with dual standing in the United Church of
Christ. Kyle has also served on the national level as
a student with the Presbyterian Student Strategy Team
and represented that group at the 1995 World Student
Christian Federation General Assembly in the Ivory
Coast, Africa. His other ecumenical work
includes the World Council of Churches Conference on Mission and Evangelism
in Salvador, Brazil in 1996.
Kyle graduated
from
West Texas A&M
University in 1994 and then received his Master of
Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian
Theological Seminary in 1997 before serving his
first call as Associate Pastor of Christian Education
and Youth Ministry at
Springdale Presbyterian Church
in Louisville, Kentucky. He is currently working
on his final project for his Doctorate in Ministry in
gospel and culture at
Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.
